Take your places!

As I was snowed in today… I took a moment to prep for Spring.

I painted this tomato plant marker. I love it.  Somehow will laminate or seal it… paste it to a stick and then cherish it in my gardenscape.

I’d like to offer these at my booth at the farmer’s market this next season, too! I’ll keep you posted.

Until then… daydream with me of sunnier days.

Live happy.

This spring I’m looking to welcome a few friendly feathered friends to our little urban farmland.

Cayuga ducks are some of my favorites as they are rather docile and tend to not wander outside their yard. They’re also one of the less noisy breeds – less quacks means more tolerant neighbors when you live in the city!

Another sure way of keeping neighbors happy is to share the bounty – these ducks are excellent egg layers!

One of the best duck breeds for production.

Their egg shells are an exotic gray to black.

Ducks love some space to swim and I plan not to disappoint!

While, this year, my pond will probably look more like this one:

I have a much more attractive, and elaborate, plan in progress!

It will look more like this dream water garden:

Enjoying the journey of Urban Farm Living!
